The Lucky Ladybug

Did you know that in the state of North Carolina,
Ladybugs are protected a species?

They visit the state each fall and spring
and it is said that they bring good luck.

During the fall, when multitudes of Ladybugs are seen,
mountain farmers say it is a sign of a mild winter.

In the spring, if numerous Ladybugs are seen,
mountain farmers say it forecasts many bountiful crops.
